A Bi-Level Scheduling Model of the Distribution System With a Distribution Company and Virtual Power Plants Considering Grid Flexibility

چکیده

With the emergence of virtual power plants (VPPs) in distribution systems, companies (DISCOs) can manage distributed generators scattered across their systems. Interactions between each DISCO and VPP are expected to be crucial for securing system reliability without increasing operational complexity. This article proposes a bi-level scheduling model these interactions, considering ramping flexibility system. In upper level, minimizes system’s cost procuring by varying price traded with VPP. lower maximizes its profit managing amount it trades DISCO. We transform into single-level problem using Karush–Kuhn–Tucker optimality conditions linearization techniques. present case studies interactions VPPs, assumption that purchase active from wholesale market. The results demonstrate win–win situation both achieved exchanged while flexibility.

A Bilevel Scheduling Approach for Modeling Energy Transaction of Virtual Power Plants in Distribution Networks

By increasing the use of distributed generation (DG) in the distribution network operation, an entity called virtual power plant (VPP) has been introduced to control, dispatch and aggregate the generation of DGs, enabling them to participate either in the electricity market or the distribution network operation. The participation of VPPs in the electricity market has made challenges to fairly a...

A Bi-Level Optimization Approach for Optimal Operation of Distribution Networks with Retailers and Micro-grids

Distributed energy resources (DERs) including distributed generators (DGs) and controllable loads (CLs) are managed in the form of several microgrids (MGs) in active distributions networks (ADNs) to meet the demand locally. On the other hand, some loads of distribution networks (DNs) can be supplied by retailers which participate in wholesale energy markets. Therefore, there are several decisio...

Optimal Day-Ahead Scheduling of a Smart Distribution Grid Considering Reactive Power Capability of Distributed Generation

Abstract: In the traditional paradigm, large power plants provide active and reactive power required for the transmission system and the distribution network purchases grid power from it. However, with more and more distributed energy resources (DERs) connected at distribution levels, it is necessary to schedule DERs to meet their demand and participate in the electricity markets at the distrib...

Optimizing of an Integrated Production-Distribution System with Probabilistic Parameters in a Multi-Level Supply Chain Network Considering the Backorder

One of the main arguments in the supply chain is integrated production-distribution planning. Integrated production and distribution of products in a supply chain plays an important role in reducing the costs of the chain. In this paper, a mathematical model for the integrated production-distribution problem in a three-level supply chain, including manufacturing plants, distribution centers and...
